Knitting Club

I have joined a little knitting club, as the "resident expert". There are 4 beginner knitters in the group. They are 2 mother and daughter teams, with the daughters being 8 and 10 years old.

Last night was our third meeting, and everybody is doing really well.

Everyone was finished their first project (a square for felting, to become a clutch purse, or a dolly blanket.) The second project (a fancy scarf) was started.

For completion of their first project, I presented them all with a "badge".

They all thought it was perfect!

  1. My young nieces have asked to learn to knit. Daughter and I selected some nice colourful yarn and bought some thick needles, now to find the time.

    1. time...At the end of the day, I sit beside my daughter, Erika and knit a few rows for 10 to 30 minutes. Kate told us to knit every day, I really enjoy that time to sit and BREATHE :)

    2. Erika lost 3 out of the 5 stitches. It was quite the catastrophy, we almost called 911... but Kate was sleeping :(

  3. Ooooh, the frilly scarf looks really good. I'll bet lost stitches wouldn't even show up much. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you in your frilly scarves.
